Breaking: Mandago files lawsuit against opponent after Jubilee Party kills his nominations rigging plan

-The Jubilee Party announced that they have shelved the use of smart cards in the party primaries

-This is a huge loss to Governor Jackson Mandago who acquired cards worth Kshs 3 million

Governor Mandago is a bitter man after the Jubilee party announced their decision to ditch the use of smart cards.

This comes after the governor spent a whopping Ksh 3 million purchasing cards in a bid to rig his way to win the nominations against his opponents.

The Uasin Gishu incumbent has taken to his latest tactic, a smear campaign aimed at undermining his strongest opponent’s campaign.

Mandago, who is facing the most heated contests since the 2013 elections, instructed one of his legal cronies a Mr. Boaz Kimelil Bulbul, to file a suit in court in a bid to bring down his opponent, Kiprop Bundotich aka Buzeki, from the gubernatorial race.

This comes as the governor’s plans to sail through the nominations with a landslide win were destroyed after the Jubilee party officials announced their decision to drop the use of the smart cards which were launched in January 2017.

On his part, Buzeki, who was legitimately cleared by the party to vie for the seat, has reiterated that his documents are in order, and he is ready to face the incumbent during the party primaries.

He has since been cleared by all relevant national bodies including the IEBC, EACC, KRA, HELB, Credit Reference Bureau, and the Commission for Higher Education, which verified his academic credentials.

Buzeki has been giving the incumbent’s team sleepless nights after he set off his well oiled campaign for the gubernatorial race.

Since then, Mandago’s lead has lost touch with the people, with political pundits saying that come April 21st 2017, Buzeki will win the nominations with a 70 percent plus margin.

Buzeki has further stated that should the said lawyer file a suit with the false claims, he should then prepare for another legal battle and pay for the damages that may arise from the same.

Mandago has been displaying the proverbial ‘last kicks of a dying horse’ and living on borrowed time, after each of his moves to undermine his opponents were nullified by the electorate.

His most recent attack was when his team created a fake letter claiming that his opponent was denied clearance by the Jubilee party, only for the party officials to clear Buzeki yesterday at the party headquarters.
